Holiday Sign

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

25 Days of Christmas,

with 25 Cricut projects a day.

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....

and every day in December.

Today's theme is Elf!  I had orginally planned on creating a scrapbook layout for today but I ran out of time!  So instead I am sharing a holiday sign I made at my local AC Moore class recently!

Isn't this just adorable!  And so easy to make!  I love taking classes at AC Moore.  Our teacher is wonderful and always comes up with some great projects! For this project, we covered a simple chalk board with scrapbook paper and then added the elf on the side!

The elf is cut from the Jolly Holidays cartridge.  For the face, Peachy Keen Stamps were used! Love these!!!

The banners are from the Country Life cartridge and just glued onto the twine.  The snowflakes are from a punch the teacher had at class!

These holiday signs would make great gifts and were a joy to make! Hope you like it!

Christmas Ornament

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

25 Days of Christmas,

with 25 Cricut projects a day.

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....

and every day in December.

For today's project I decided to make a very quick and easy ornament!!
I've seen all these other blogs where people are making their own glitter ornaments and I wanted to give it a try!  I used GlitterIt to coat the inside of the ornament and then used some Martha Stewart red glitter.  So easy!  And not messy at all!  I will definitely be making more of these with my kids because it was super easy!  I then decided to keep the outside really simple and just used 3 different snowflake designs from the 'Winter is in the air- Seasonal' cartridge.   The snowflakes are all cut at 1.25 inches.  I'm really enjoying playing with vinyl and can't wait to make more projects with it!

Well that's my super simple Christmas ornament.  Hope you liked it!  I'm entering it into the Cricut Circle Weekly challenge - ornaments and glitter!
Don't forget to check out the other great projects today over at Erica's Craft Room.  Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

25 Days of Christmas,

with 25 Cricut projects a day.

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....

and every day in December.

For my project today  I created a scrapbook layout of kids playing in the snow!

I used two cartridges for this layout - Snow Day and Winter Woodland.  I also used the cricut Craft Room and my new Cricut mini machine! love them both!  It is so easy to design on the Cricut craft room and the mini cuts so nicely.

From Winter Woodland I cut the title out at 4 inches.  I used the layer and shadow function.

The two kids playing in the snow are from the new Snow Day cartridge!  I love this cartridge. All cuts are 4 inches.  I decided to use the hide/contour button in CCR and use my Peachy Keen Stamps for the kid faces!  Love those!!!

Well that's my Snow Fun layout for today! I hope you enjoyed it!

For my project today I made a scrapbook layout!  My daughter just recently had her birthday and I still haven't scrapped the pictures from her day.  I thought this layout would be perfect for some of her birthday pictures!

I used 3 cricut cartridges for this layout:
Once Upon a Princess
Princess Party
Cricut Font & basic shapes

I used the Cricut Craft Room program and my new Cricut mini machine to create this layout.  I am loving both things!  The craft room is just like using the gypsy except even easier!!! And the cricut mini cuts so nicely!

The title for my layout was cut from the Princess Party event cartridge at 3.431 inches high!   The photo mat is from the Cricut Font and Basic Shapes digital cartridge and cut at 9.43 inches!  This will be perfect for a 5x7 picture!

The little girl is from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and cut at 4 inches.  I used the Peachy Keen Princess Faces stamp! So cute!

December Blog Hop - My Cricut Craft Room

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day 2!
You should have come from Erica's post.  If not, please start back at the beginning so you don't miss any of today's great projects, http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/

I can't believe it is December already, this year is really flying by!  For the blog hop this month I decided to create a layout showing Christmas treats!! I created this layout for the pictures I have of me and my kids creating tons of yummy treats for christmas time!

For today's layout I used 5 cricut cartridges:
From My Kitchen
Sweet Shop
Sophisticated
Sesame Street Seasons
Winter is in the Air - Holiday

The title for my layout is from two different cartridges.  Christmas is just half of a 'Merry Christmas' cut from 'Winter is in the Air - Holiday' and cut at 4.69 inches.  And Treats is from the 'Sophisticated' cartridge.  I used my gypsy to weld the letters together at 1.86 inches.

These cute candycane are also from the 'Winter is in the Air - Holiday' and cut at 3.50 inches.

The pepermint candies are from the 'Sweet Shop' cartidge and cut at multiple sizes ranging from 2.6 - 2.9 inches.

The hot chocolate mug is from the 'Sesame Street Seasons' cartridge and cut at 3.77 inches.

The gingerbread men are cut from the 'From My Kitchen' cartridge at 3.5 inches.  I used a white gel pen to outline the cookies!  I really like how that adds to the cut-out.

Well I hope you liked my layout for today! Don't forget to check out the rest of the hop today!  Tons of great projects for you to get inspiration from!

For this layout I used two cartridges - Autumn Celebrations and Create a Critter.
The title - 'I'm Thankful For...' was cut from Autumn Celebrations at 4.5 inches.
The adorable turkey was cut from Create a Critter at 3.5 inches! I love this turkey! So cute!!!

Hope you and your family had a great thanksgiving! I sure did!  Oh and I was able to get the Imagine!!!! Yeah!  So after the new year you'll be seeing some Imagine projects too!!

Festive Friday

Well it's Festive Friday at Erica's Cricut Craft Room! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  And I hope everyone scored some good deals today on black friday! Hopefully I am back from shopping by the time you read this and have scored a new Imagine at Walmart!  If so, you can bet that in the new year I'll have lots of Imagine projects to share!!!

For today's Festive Friday I decided on a Home Decor project! My kids helped me with this, so don't mind the air bubbles in it!

It was great to be able to have my kids help with this Thanksgiving charger plate! They loved seeing the turkey come together!!  I cut the turkey and the 'Gobble Gobble' from the Create a Critter cartridge!  The turkey is cut at 5 inches and the words at 1 1/2 inches!  It was so much fun to use vinyl with my cricut machine!  I'm sure you'll be seeing more projects like this in the future (hopefully without air bubbles next time!)
Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!  Don't forget to check out all the other great projects at Erica's Cricut Craft Room!!

My IMAGINE-ation Monday November 14, 2011

Welcome to My IMAGINE-ation Monday on My Cricut Craft Room.  This is the day the design team highlights projects made with the Imagine machine or with Imagine cartridges on the E2.  I don't have an Imagine yet (hopefully will get one this holiday season!)  But I do have the E2.  I finally used one of the Imagine carts in  my E2 machine to cut out an image.  I recently purchased the new Santa Village cartridge.  The images are so cute on this cartridge. I can't wait to print them on an Imagine!

This was my first time using my E2 and an Imagine cart. Here is what I came up with!

I cut the christmas tree and all of its layers at 6 inches.  Now normally with the Imagine you can print the entire tree and ornaments on one layer, or you can choose to print and cut each layer seperately.  With the E2 you can only cut the layers, no printing.  I think it still came out pretty good though.
The sentiment on my card is from My Creative Time - Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

Hope you enjoyed my first My IMAGINE-ation post!
Don't forget to check out all the other projects on My Cricut Craft Room.

Welcome to the Giving Back Blog Hop! We wanted to give back to the person who has given so much to us! So, this is in honor of Erica from My Cricut Craftroom.  I love being part of Erica's design team and have learned so much from her and all the members of the design team.  Some of us decided to create 8x8 scrapbook layout to send to her to show her our appreciation.

You should have come from Lezlye's blog.  Wasn't her layout beautiful.  If you are starting at my blog, you will want to start with Kat’s Blog so you don’t miss any of the great layouts. When you get done hopping, you will want to go to Erica’s Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/EricasCraftRoom) and leave a comment on her page. We will be randomly selecting someone from those comments to win blog candy.

Since Erica loves all things Disney I decided to make a layout with Minnie Mouse on it.

I used 3 cartridges fro this layout:
Mickey & Friends
Phrases
Accent Essentials

Minnie Mouse and all her layers were cut from the Mickey & Friends cartridge at 4.5 inches.  The title, You make me smile, is from the Phrases cartridge.  I cut this at 2.53 inches.
For the frame I used Accent Essentials cartridge and cut this at 3.71 inches.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my creation for Erica.  Don't forget to leave a message for her on her facebook page for a chance to win some blog candy.  Also check out her blog everyday to see the amazing projects the design team creates each day!

Theme Day Thursday - Birthday Party

It's theme day thursday at Erica's Craft Room.  This week's theme is Birthday Party!  This is the perfect time for me to show the birthday decorations I made for my daughter's 5th birthday!  She decided on a Pinkalicious theme for her party, in honor of her favorite book!!  So it was very easy to come up with ideas.  Pinkalicious is all about the color pink and cupcakes!!!  I decided to use the Princess Party event cartridge to make most of these decorations.

I started off making a Birthday Banner!  I used the Castle from the Princess Party cartridge as the base for my banner.  I cut this at 9 inches.  I then cut out a heart from this cartridge as well at 12 inches to go on top of the banner.  The letters were cut from  Birthday Bash  at  2.65 inches.  At the ends of the banner I cut out a pink cupcake from Sweet Treats, and a crown from Princess Party.

I also cut out crown cupcake holders (again in pink! It is a pinkalicious party after all!) from Princess Party.  I found that cutting them at 4inches fit the standard cupcake holders perfectly.

Part of the birthday party was letting the girls decorate their own crowns and wands!  This Princess Party cartridge is amazing for giving you ideas for a whole party, from inivitations to decorations to craft projects, etc.  I love it! The girls all loved being able to decorate crowns and wands.  Give little girls glitter, glue, and some bling and they will be in heaven!  I cut the crowns out at 7inches and the wands at 9 inches.

I hope you enjoyed a peak at my daughter's fun crafty Pink birthday party! She and all her friends had a blast!  Next year she's thinking Barbie so maybe Provo Craft will come out with a Barbie cartridge by then!!!  Don't forget to check out Erica's Craft Room for all the fun Birthday posts today!
Thanks

November 100 cart blog hop

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop
You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

Welcome to day 2 of the 100 cricut cartridge blog hop!  Day 1 was amazing and I'm glad you are joining us for day 2!
Hopefully you have hopped along and came from Amanda's awesome crafty blog!
For my project today I created a two page 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' scrapbook layout.

I used 4 different Cricut cartridges on this layout:
Christmas Cheer
Joys of the Season
Storybook
Winter Frolic

The title for the layout was cut from Storybook cartridge at 1.15 inches (using my gypsy)  I love this cartridge for the fonts on it!  Really is a great cart.

Santa, the reindeer and the sled were all cut from Christmas Cheer cartridge.  The reindeer and sled were cut at 3.15 inches and the santa was cut at 3.47 inches.  This is an awesome Christmas cartridge! Very whimisical and such cute cuts!  I love using my Gypsy when I'm scrapbooking so i can size my cuts exactly how I want them and save paper while I'm scrapping!

The house is from the Joys of the Season cartridge! This is another awesome Christmas cart.  The house and all it's layers were cut at 7.77 inches.  You can't really tell from the picture but I used white glitter paper for the snow!

The snowgirl was cut from Winter Frolic at 3.15 inches.  I used my gypsy to hide the face cuts and instead cut just the carrot nose and added some black bling for eyes!!!

Well that's my layout for today's hop!  I hope you enjoyed it.  Make sure you hop along and check out all the awesome projects along the way!  Don't forget to comment on all the blogs for a chance to win Erica's awesome blog candy! My Cricut Craft Room - Theme Day Thursday - Winter

It's Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room, which means Theme day! Today's theme is Winter! I may be not in the majority here, but I love winter! I think it is my favorite season!  Christmas, New Year's, my birthday, my son's birthday, and we can't forget snow! I love snow! It makes everything look so pretty and is so much fun to play in!

So for my project today I decided to make a layout that showcases a snowy day in the forest.  We're planning on going to cut down our own Christmas trees this year and I thought this layout would be perfect for this event!

I used 3 cricut cartridges on this layout:
- Winter Frolic
- Winter is in the Air Seasonal
-Winter is in the Air Holiday

The last two carts are sampler cartridges.  They have a sample of cuts from other cartridges already out there.  So even if you don't have these last 2 cuts you can reproduce this layout if you want.

From Winter Frolic I cut the phrase 'Snow much fun' at 3 inches.  I also cut the larger 2 tree group from this cart at 6.5 and 7 inches.

I cut this adorable snowman from the 'Winter is in the Air - Seasonal' cart.  It is also available on the Snow Friends seasonal cart (which I don't own!)  I just think it is so cute!  I cut it at 4 inches.
The trees on the top with the snowcaps are from this cart too.  I think they are from Winter Woodland orginally (another cart I dont own!)  I cut them at 5.5 inches and overlapped them on my layout.  I also cut the snowflakes from this cart at 2 inches.

On this page of the layout I cut the snowman from the 'Winter is in the Air - holiday' cartridge at 4.5 inches.  I'm not sure which cartridge it is from originally!
I added some snowflake bling that I bought at Michael's recently!

Well that's my layout for today's Winter Theme day! I hope you like it!  Don't forget to check out all the other projects at My Cricut Craft room each and every day!

My Cricut Craft Room's Fall Favorites Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's Fall Favorites Blog Hop!  You should have started at My Cricut Craft Room, if not make sure you start back at the begining so you don't miss any great fall projects!

For the blog hop I decided to go outside my comfort zone of scrapbook layouts and create some decorative blocks.  I got the inspiration from another cricut scrapper.  The cricut circle group put on a fall blog hop last month and two of the ladies made blocks to share and I just loved how they came out.  I only have the blog address for one,
http://designsbysharon.blogspot.com/  but both designs were amazing.  This is my attempt at decorative blocks!

I used Sweet Tooth Boxes for the decorative blocks and Sophisticated for the letters.  The leaves and acorns come from the Winter Is In The Air Seasonal cartridge (this cartridge is a sampler one, filled with images from other carts)

The blocks, are the cube boxes on the Sweet Tooth Boxes cart and cut at 10.5 inches.  I used my Gypsy to add the letter cut (from Sophisticated at 2.54 inches.  Once the images were cut, I added a piece of fall paper where the letter cut out was.  Then followed the score lines and folded the box.  The bottom of these blocks is open, so it is not a complete cube.  The leaves and acorn were cut in mulitple colors at 1.24 inches.

So that's my fall project for you today! I hope you like it!

Now you should go to Erica's blog to see her wonderful creation!

If you get lost along the way, here is the entire line up:

Festive Friday - October 14, 2011

It's Festive Friday at My Cricut Craft Room.  This is the day that the design team creates projects for any holiday!  I decided to make a Halloween layout for this day.  I started with a sketch that was posted on a cricut circle blogiversary challenge.

From this sketch I created my Halloween scrapbook layout!

I used 3 different cricut carts in this layout:
Happy Hauntings
Paper Doll Dress Up
Accent Essentials

From Happy Hauntings I cut the title at 2 inches, the bats at 1.24 inches, and the witch at 2.5 inches.
I used Paper Doll Dress Up to cut the pumpkin at 3.59 inches.
And Accent Essentials was used to cut out the moon at 2.29 inches.

Here are some more close up pictures of the layout!

Hope you enjoyed my little layout for Festive Friday.  Make sure you check out Erica's Cricut Craft room for some more great projects!
Thanks!
