My Cricut Craft Room - Theme Day Thursday - Winter

It's Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room, which means Theme day! Today's theme is Winter! I may be not in the majority here, but I love winter! I think it is my favorite season!  Christmas, New Year's, my birthday, my son's birthday, and we can't forget snow! I love snow! It makes everything look so pretty and is so much fun to play in!

So for my project today I decided to make a layout that showcases a snowy day in the forest.  We're planning on going to cut down our own Christmas trees this year and I thought this layout would be perfect for this event!

I used 3 cricut cartridges on this layout:
- Winter Frolic
- Winter is in the Air Seasonal
-Winter is in the Air Holiday

The last two carts are sampler cartridges.  They have a sample of cuts from other cartridges already out there.  So even if you don't have these last 2 cuts you can reproduce this layout if you want.

From Winter Frolic I cut the phrase 'Snow much fun' at 3 inches.  I also cut the larger 2 tree group from this cart at 6.5 and 7 inches.

I cut this adorable snowman from the 'Winter is in the Air - Seasonal' cart.  It is also available on the Snow Friends seasonal cart (which I don't own!)  I just think it is so cute!  I cut it at 4 inches.
The trees on the top with the snowcaps are from this cart too.  I think they are from Winter Woodland orginally (another cart I dont own!)  I cut them at 5.5 inches and overlapped them on my layout.  I also cut the snowflakes from this cart at 2 inches.

On this page of the layout I cut the snowman from the 'Winter is in the Air - holiday' cartridge at 4.5 inches.  I'm not sure which cartridge it is from originally!
I added some snowflake bling that I bought at Michael's recently!

Well that's my layout for today's Winter Theme day! I hope you like it!  Don't forget to check out all the other projects at My Cricut Craft room each and every day!

My Cricut Craft Room's Fall Favorites Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's Fall Favorites Blog Hop!  You should have started at My Cricut Craft Room, if not make sure you start back at the begining so you don't miss any great fall projects!

For the blog hop I decided to go outside my comfort zone of scrapbook layouts and create some decorative blocks.  I got the inspiration from another cricut scrapper.  The cricut circle group put on a fall blog hop last month and two of the ladies made blocks to share and I just loved how they came out.  I only have the blog address for one,
http://designsbysharon.blogspot.com/  but both designs were amazing.  This is my attempt at decorative blocks!

I used Sweet Tooth Boxes for the decorative blocks and Sophisticated for the letters.  The leaves and acorns come from the Winter Is In The Air Seasonal cartridge (this cartridge is a sampler one, filled with images from other carts)

The blocks, are the cube boxes on the Sweet Tooth Boxes cart and cut at 10.5 inches.  I used my Gypsy to add the letter cut (from Sophisticated at 2.54 inches.  Once the images were cut, I added a piece of fall paper where the letter cut out was.  Then followed the score lines and folded the box.  The bottom of these blocks is open, so it is not a complete cube.  The leaves and acorn were cut in mulitple colors at 1.24 inches.

So that's my fall project for you today! I hope you like it!

Now you should go to Erica's blog to see her wonderful creation!

Festive Friday - October 14, 2011

It's Festive Friday at My Cricut Craft Room.  This is the day that the design team creates projects for any holiday!  I decided to make a Halloween layout for this day.  I started with a sketch that was posted on a cricut circle blogiversary challenge.

From this sketch I created my Halloween scrapbook layout!

I used 3 different cricut carts in this layout:
Happy Hauntings
Paper Doll Dress Up
Accent Essentials

From Happy Hauntings I cut the title at 2 inches, the bats at 1.24 inches, and the witch at 2.5 inches.
I used Paper Doll Dress Up to cut the pumpkin at 3.59 inches.
And Accent Essentials was used to cut out the moon at 2.29 inches.

Here are some more close up pictures of the layout!

Hope you enjoyed my little layout for Festive Friday.  Make sure you check out Erica's Cricut Craft room for some more great projects!
Thanks!

Cricut Circle challenge - circle cart

Another BLOGiversary challenge on the Cricut Circle blog!  This time we had to only use a circle exclusive cartridge!  I just joined the circle a few months back, so I only have 2 carts to choose from.  For this challenge I chose the awesome dance inspired cartridge "Shall We Dance"

I cut the title and the adorable shoes at 3 inches and added a little bling to the shoe ties!
Have I mentioned how much I love the cricut circle!!!
Thanks for checking my projects!

Cricut circle BLOGiversary challenge

Here's a card I made for another cricut circle challenge. The cricut circle blog turned '1' recently, and to recognize the amazing blog they are hosting a whole week of challenges!  For this challenge you have to
Create a project of your choice using a monochromatic color scheme. Your project must include atleast 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.

I decided to make a birthday card!  One of my fellow design team members at Erica's Cricut Craft room has a soon to be 2 year old boy! He has gone through some major surgeries and health issues in his life and to honor him some of us are sending him some birthday cards!

I used two cricut carts for this card.  Birthday bash for the #2, and  B is for Boy.
I thought a little sailboat would be perfect on this card!
Hope you enjoyed my creation!
Thanks

Cricut circle weekly challenge

I decided to enter the cricut circle weekly challenge today.  I just created a very simple, quick card using A Child's Year and Old West cartridge.
Thanks

Just realized I forgot to add the dot to the i, oops. Got to go back to do that! Thanks

October - My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's October 100 Cartridge Blog Hop.  This is day 2 of the hop.  Hopefully, you visited all the amazing blogs shown yesterday.  Weren't those projects great.  Everyone did such an amazing job.  If you're new to the hop or just happened upon my site, please start at the beginning at My Cricut Craft Room.  You don't want to miss out on any projects today!  And be sure to check out the blog candy at the end. Erica is always giving away awesome prizes!!

You should have come from the amazing project at Jenny's blog!

For the monthly 100 cartridge blog hop, My Cricut Craft Room's design team tries to create projects using 100 different cricut cartridges!  For my project today I used two cartridges:  Baby Steps and New Arrival.  I decided it is time to work on my son's scrapbook! He's 2 1/2 and I don't have anything from his first year done yet.  Here is the layout I designed for today.

This two page layout can hold a 5x7 picture on the left and two 4x6 on the right!  All of the paper is from my stash.  I have so much paper that I'm trying not to buy more (but that is such a  hard thing to do!)
This little baby on the moon is so cute! I used my gypsy to hid the face buts and used a Wide Eyed Kids Peachy Keen stamp instead! Love thos face stamps!  This image is from the Baby Steps cartridge and cut at  2.5 inches.

I love little baby feet!  When I saw this on the New Arrival cart I knew I had to add it to my layout!!
The feet were cut at 2.5 inches.  And the baby blocks were cut at 2 inches.

The little clothes and rattle are from the Baby Steps cartridge and also cut at 2.5 inches.  I just love the little stars on the baby clothes!

The title for my layout comes from New Arrival.  Both the top layer and shadow are cut at 2.5 inches.
Well that's my layout for today! Make sure you continue on the hop to see the other amazing projects the design team has for you today.  And don't forget to check out My Cricut Craft Room everyday to see different projects and win amazing prizes!
