It's Theme Day Thursday again at My Cricut Craft Room today!  Today's theme is - Cricut Circle cartridges!  If you aren't a member of the cricut circle this is your chance to see some great projects made with cricut circle exclusive cartridges!  I just recently joined the circle and I think it is well worth the money!!!  When you sign-up you are sent a welcome package which includes an exclusive cart.  Throughout the year you can get 3 more exclusive circle carts.  You also get 10% off at cricut.com and free shipping on orders over $25.  There is a circle messageboard and a circle magazine that has some amazing projects in it.  You really should check it out!
Ok, on to the fun stuff!  Hope you enjoyed all the projects at My Cricut Craft Room today.  Here is my scrapbook layout that I made using 2 cricut circle exclusive carts.

My little ballerina layout was created using 'Shall we dance' cartridge! If you have a dancer in the family this cartridge is a must.
This little ballerina is just too cute!! I used my gypsy to hide the face cuts and instead used a Peachy keen Stamp from the Wide Eyes Kids assortment.  Love those face stamps!  The ballerina was cut at 5.5 inches.  The flowers were cut at 2 inches and from the same cartridge!

The two sayings were cut out at 2.85 inches including the word shadow.
The ballet shoes I cut at 4 inches and added a little bling to the tie.

I used the circle cart 'Frech Manor' to cut out the frames for the pictures.
Well that is my layout for today! I hope you enjoyed this little look at the Shall we dance cartridge! Be sure to check out My Cricut Craft Room to see what other great projects were created using circle cartridges.

Scrapbook Saturday at My Cricut Craft Room

It's Saturday!!! That means it's scrapbook layouts on My Cricut Craft Room.
For today's project I decided I wanted to try something a little different for my layout!  My kids have spent hours each day playing outside in the backyard this summer.  I have so many pictures of them on the swings, running through the yard, coloring on the deck, just having fun!  I wanted to try to capture the look of watching them through my kitchen windows!
The window panes can be used as a mat for the pictures!   It's a pretty simple layout but I think it definitely reminds me of the joy I feel watching my kids play together outside!!!

I used 3 carts for this layout.
Twinkle Toes
Nate's ABC
Accent Essentials

The window panes are from using the negative space of cutting four 5 inch squares from Accent Essentials.  I then placed this layer onto a blue background paper to appear as sky!

The curtains are actually from Twinkle Toes! I love this cartridge.  Using my gypsy I hid the cut for the curtain top since I knew I wasn't going to use it.  I can't tell you again how much I love my gypsy!  I love that I can see exactly on the paper where i am going to cut and how I can choose to hide some cuts to save paper!

The letters are all from Nate's ABC cartridge.  I really like the simple, clean font on this cartridge.  All letters were cut at 1 inch.

Well that's my layout for today!  I hope you enjoyed it.

September My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

You should have come from Courtney's blog: http://craftingwithcourtney.blogspot.com/
If you did not please start at the begining of the hop at
http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/

For today's project I created a one page layout!
For this treat layout I used 7 cartridges:
Sweet Treats,
Celebrations,
From My Kitchen,
Doodle Charms,
My Community,
Carousel,
Strech your Imagination

My idea for this layout was to have a whole wheel of treats that would be for a kid to spin and pick their favorite treat to eat!
This layout is for one 5x7 picture.  I'm sure I have a picture of one of my kids eating some yummy treat that will be perfect on here!

This spinning wheel comes from My Community cartridge and was cut at 6.5 inches.
The balloons come from the Celebrations cartridge and were cut at 3.5 inches.
The treats all come from the rest of the cartridges:  Sweet Treats, Carousel, Stretch Your Imagination, DoodleCharms and From My Kitchen.  The cuts range from 1-2 inches.  I used my gypsy to design this layout and made sure to size everything to fit into the wheel openings!  I love my gypsy.
Hope you enjoyed my layout!

Theme Day Thursday - Fall

It's  theme day thursday again at My Cricut Craft Room!  And today's theme is Fall!  Since today is the first day of September I think it is the perfect time!  I love fall!  Love the colors of fall! love all the fun things you can do in the fall!  There are so many fun family activities in the fall that we enjoy doing together!  One such thing is playing in the leaves!  We don't have many big trees in our yard, so we have to either go to the park or to Grandma's house to get some good jumping in the leaves pictures, but it's worth it!  So for today's project I decided to try to create a layout that go perfectly with these pictures!  I am pretty happy with the result!
I used 3 cricut cartridges for this layout:
Speaking of Fall
Paper Dolls for Everyday
Stretch Your Imagination

This tree which I cut in half so that it would be on both pages of the layout is from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.  I cut the tree at 9.35 inches  (I use my gypsy for all layouts, so my sizes are usually a little odd)  I also cut all the leaves from one of the feature keys on this cut.  I did make some leaves smaller to have them in all different sizes.

The adorable little boy and girl are cut at 4 inches from the Paper Dolls for Everyday cartridge.  I used Sizzix rub-on dress up faces for this layout!  These work so well!  I'm having problems with my Peachy Keen Stamps going on correctly, which is defnitely a user problem, not a stamp problem! I think I need better ink.  Anyone have suggestions for these stamps?
The words 'Fall Leaves' was cut at 1.5 inches from the Speaking of Fall cartridge.  I've had this cartridge for 2 years now and have never used it! It was actually really easy to layer these letters and I think it adds a nice touch to the layout!
The paper in the background is some that I found at the Target dollar section last year.  Part of the Autumn Harvest collection.  The ribbon on the two photo mats is from the same collection!   The photo mats themselves are from the DCWV The Fall Cardstock Matstack.   The rest of the paper was just part of my solid color stash!

Ok, that's my layout for today's theme day thursday!  I hope you enjoyed it!
Don't forget to check out the rest of the projects at My Cricut Craft Room.

I'm also entering this layout into the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #39 - ABC 123.  For this challenge we needed: (A) Pop of (B)right (C)olor on your page, as well as 1 of something, 2 of something, and 3 of something
My pop of bright color would be the yellow photo mats! They are a lot brighter in person then in the picture!!
My 1 of something = 1 tree
2 of something = 2 kids
3 of something = 3 cricut cartridges used

That's it! Thanks for checking out my layout!
